The Challenge Structure

1. Assessment Round (Starts on February 25)

A 20-minute multiple-choice test covering Core Java, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, data structures, Spring Boot, concurrency, design patterns, and debugging. This round identifies candidates with a solid foundation in Java development.

2. Hackathon Round (Starts on February 25)

A hands-on coding challenge where participants will design and implement a retry and replay framework to enhance system reliability. Key requirements include:

  • Developing a configurable retry mechanism using Spring Boot and Quartz, supporting multiple strategies such as fixed interval, exponential backoff, circuit breaker, and jitter.
  • Implementing event-driven retries (Kafka optional) and a replay process with UI for manual error correction.
  • Ensuring role-based access control, logging, and an intuitive dashboard for monitoring retry or replay activities.
  • Building an automated notification system for retry or replay completions.
