Why Northeastern University London?
Dr Alexandros Koliousis, MSc, PhD, Faculty Director Computing, Mathematics, Engineering & Natural Sciences & Associate Professor in Computer Science, has been instrumental in the computer science research field. He was recently also made a fellow at The Alan Turing Institute in recognition of his contribution to the education of computer and data science.
Koliousis aims to utilise his fellowship to forge collaborations and inspire the next generation to “fall in love” with computer science, especially in a world where artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing.
He believes higher education requires a “rethink” in an era where AI may be perceived as a quick solution for future programmers. Instead, he argues, the emphasis should be on “demystifying” how artificial intelligence operates while turning it into a “useful tool.” According to Koliousis, “The worst thing that you can say now to the student is, ‘Alright, the use of AI is prohibited in this course.'”
This is why Northeastern University London is the right choice. The university already has been offering several taster lectures for Undergraduate students in business, computer science, philosophy, economics, and many more.
With the introduction of postgraduate and master’s courses, many of which are designed as conversion degrees, students would be able to access them for transitioning from literature to AI or exploring digital politics with a science background, students have the flexibility to pursue their passions.
By participating in these virtual taster lectures, prospective students will take the first step towards a unique educational journey. With the flexibility of an online format, attendees can join from anywhere in the world, connect with like-minded peers, and explore topics shaping the future.
Northeastern University London encourages prospective students to discover the possibilities and ignite their curiosity through these sessions.
