The transformation aims to cut manual IT tasks by nearly 60% using automation and smart monitoring tools.

IT services giant Kyndryl has partnered with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories to revamp the pharmaceutical company’s IT operations across all its locations globally, including manufacturing units, offices, data centres, and cloud platforms.
They aim to reduce manual IT tasks by nearly 60% through automation and smart monitoring tools. At the heart of this effort is Kyndryl Bridge, a platform designed to track systems, predict and prevent issues, and resolve problems automatically without human intervention.
Kyndryl will also introduce a ‘Zero Touch’ operations model designed to minimise the need for manual involvement in day-to-day IT management and ensure smoother, more reliable performance across Dr Reddy’s digital systems.
Speaking on the partnership, Lingraju Sawkar, president of Kyndryl India, said, “Our advanced technology and expertise will support Dr Reddy’s Laboratories’ digital transformation journey by optimising operational efficiency, enhancing regulatory compliance, agility and end-user experience.”
The new system is expected to offer a clear, central view of IT operations, helping teams track service performance and stay on top of compliance and risk controls. Kyndryl said the move will support Dr Reddy’s wider digital goals and its mission to deliver accessible, affordable medicines using the latest technologies.
Kyndryl has also partnered with top players, including Google Cloud, to develop responsible generative AI solutions and accelerate customers’ adoption.
Meanwhile, Kyndryl has been rapidly expanding its operations in India and its base in Bengaluru. The company opened its third office in Bengaluru in April 2024. Last month, it launched a Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the city to provide comprehensive support and advanced protection for cyber threats leveraging AI.
