Data-driven fan engagement in motorsports, combining AI, analytics and interactive storytelling, is a game-changer.

Infosys, along with ABB FIA Formula E World, has introduced the Formula E Stats Centre as an AI-driven analytics platform, Formula E Stats Centre, which delivers dynamic performance analytics. This allows fans to track their favourite teams and drivers across seasons.

Powered by Infosys Topaz, a generative AI-first solution, the platform offers real-time race insights, interactive statistics and AI-generated summaries. This platform is expected to transform how fans engage with Formula E, giving them a deeper understanding of the sport and enhancing their overall experience.

The Stats Centre features AI-powered Key Stat Cards, which adapt to the race timeline and an AI Companion, which enables users to access milestones and race insights through interactive queries. Using past and real-time data simplifies complex statistics, making race engagement more immersive.

This launch aligns with the debut of GEN3 Evo, Formula E’s most advanced electric race car. The GEN3 Evo can reach 0-60 mph in 1.82 seconds, making it 30% faster than Formula 1 cars. This significant advancement in electric race car technology is set to revolutionise the sport.

Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E, said, “The partnership enhances fan experience by making race data more accessible and engaging.” Meanwhile, Sumit Virmani, executive VP and global chief marketing officer of Infosys, emphasised AI’s role in transforming raw data into compelling narratives.

Moreover, Infosys spearheaded the migration of Formula E’s data lake to Google Cloud. This migration, led by Infosys, has significantly improved the accessibility of Formula E’s data, paving the way for more advanced fan engagement strategies. Data-driven fan engagement in motorsports, combining AI, analytics and interactive storytelling, is a game-changer.Earlier this week, Infosys partnered with Linux Foundation Networking to advance responsible AI principles and support AI adoption across global networks.
