HCLTech has launched a new subsidiary, HCLTech Public Sector Solutions (PSS), aimed at driving AI-led digital transformation across government agencies in the United States.

The subsidiary will cater to state and local governments, education (SLED) organisations, as well as federal civilian and defence agencies, leveraging the company’s decades of expertise in integrated technology solutions.

The move reinforces HCLTech’s expansion in the public sector following the establishment of its Strategic Segments business, led by chief growth officer Arjun Sethi since November.

Sethi highlighted the growing demand for AI-powered solutions in the public sector, stating, “From digital engineering and cybersecurity to AI-powered platforms for citizen engagement, our specialised solutions are designed to translate data into insights, drive IT efficiencies, and maximise impact, all while helping government agencies navigate current and future technology transformation with confidence.”

“A sharper focus through a dedicated subsidiary will enable us to deliver our AI and digital transformation expertise across all public sector segments,” said C Vijayakumar, CEO & managing director of HCLTech. “By combining our comprehensive AI suite, deep subject matter expertise, industry-leading talent, and dedicated leadership, we are better positioned to partner with government agencies and enhance the experience for the constituents they serve.”

As part of the subsidiary’s leadership structure, HCLTech appointed three members to the PSS board of directors: Arjun Sethi, general counsel Raghu Raman Lakshmanan, and chief marketing officer Jill Kouri. Sethi has been named President, while Raman Lakshmanan will serve as Treasurer and Secretary.

HCLTech has also been selected as a Design Solution Partner (DSP) under the Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE™) program. This strategic collaboration aims to accelerate semiconductor innovation by using HCLTech’s extensive expertise in engineering and R&D services and Samsung’s cutting-edge process technologies.
