This strategic partnership allows you to transcribe content from videos in Indian languages.

In an Indo-French collaboration between two localisation-focused companies driven by AI, Bengaluru-based Reverie Language Technologies has partnered with MediaWen, a Paris-based startup. The announcement was made at the AI Action Summit held in the French capital.
This collaboration aims to revolutionise video accessibility by enabling seamless localisation into 11 Indian languages, fostering inclusivity across diverse audiences. While Reverie builds AI-driven speech and text models for Indian languages, MediaWen offers localisation optimisation for audiovisual content.
Accelerating Video Localisation in Indian Languages
India features a diverse set of languages. While solutions like Google Translate can overcome the language barrier, they may not be a one-size-fits-all solution for organisations. This is where companies like Reverie step in by trying to build an AI rocket for India and experimenting with desi bots.
The partnership integrates Reverie’s proprietary AI technologies, such as automated translation, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech APIs, into MediaWen’s SaaS-based video localisation platform, MediaWen•Hub. Together, they aim to create a sophisticated AI-powered video localisation ecosystem tailored for the Indian audience.
The AI-driven integration empowers organisations with automated transcription, translation, and speech synthesis in 11 Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam and Gujarati.
Vivekananda Pani, co-founder of Reverie Language Technologies, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, “As video formats continue to dominate digital communication, democratising content for Indian audiences is essential. Research indicates that over 2 billion videos are shared daily in India across multiple platforms.”
He further added, “With our AI-driven integrations on MediaWen•Hub, we are excited to support the next generation of content creators and ensure wider accessibility across digital ecosystems.”
MediaWen CEO Erwan de Kerautem also spoke about the significance of the alliance. “The complementary technologies and shared values of this Franco-Indian partnership make it all the more significant. Giving everyone access to video content in their preferred language strengthens our common mission to train, educate and entertain the Indian population in diverse languages.”
They have made the solution available to the public at Coming2India.com. This newly launched full-service localisation platform, backed by Eureka Innowwide, combines expertise from both companies.
In addition, they have partnered with Braahmam’s team of native Indian language experts to provide an end-to-end localisation experience.
On its website, the company currently mentions use cases for its solution in marketing, communications, and e-learning. Such a solution can benefit any foreign company that wants to communicate with the Indian market or Indian clients. It remains to be seen how the partnership will progress.
