Salesforce and NVIDIA have announced a collaboration aimed at developing advanced AI capabilities for enterprise with autonomous agents. This partnership focuses on integrating NVIDIA’s AI platform with Salesforce’s Agentforce, starting an ecosystem to launch billions of Agentforce to be deployed in the coming years.

This collaboration optimises predictive and generative AI workflows, enabling enhanced insights and productivity for sales, service, marketing and IT teams, utilising Salesforce’s CRM platform.

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, emphasised the partnership’s potential saying, “Together with NVIDIA, we’re leading the third wave of the AI revolution, moving beyond copilots to humans and intelligent agents working seamlessly to drive customer success.”

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA highlighted how technology has now reached a positive feedback loop where AI is designing new AI and is now advancing at the pace of “Moore’s Law squared”, meaning that the progress we will see in the next year or two will be “spectacular and surprising”

Huang focused on how this collaboration will make an industry shift by making it an industry of skills and not tools like it had been so far; AI Agents sitting on top of AI tools  using said tools. Agentforce will be empowered to reason and collaborate with each other helping with problem solving.

According to Huang, the breakthrough came in when unsupervised learning became like a possibility in the AI ecospace as the ability for humans to label data at scale posed a limitation and unsupervised learning swapped in, creating language models with the help and assistance of existing language models which codified human prior knowledge to learn multimodality creating multimodal data and thereby expanding the scale.

The collaboration will enable Salesforce customers to leverage next-generation AI capabilities through Agentforce, which includes pre-built agents and tools for customization. Integration with NVIDIA’s NIM microservices and NeMo for model customisation is expected to enhance AI performance and efficiency. Key use cases include crisis management, real-time weather adjustments for travel, and instant customer support resolution.

In addition to advanced AI capabilities, the partnership  will also enhance AI capabilities by accelerating processing in Salesforce Data Cloud, which will unify and harmonises structured and unstructured customer data in real time.

Data Cloud will provide a “Zero Copy” capability, enabling Salesforce customers to quickly and easily connect to their enterprise data, which will then be retrievable by Agentforce to analyze and act on. NVIDIA’s full stack accelerated computing platform will optimise compute resources, leading to quicker insights and improved performance across the AI platforms.

Salesforce and NVIDIA are also developing AI-powered avatars with NVIDIA ACE technologies. These avatars will enhance interactions by using multi-modal AI models for speech recognition and contextual visual responses. Applications include real-time sales coaching, live event management, and employee training assistance.
