Ola Krutrim Brings an Early Diwali for Indian AI Developers

Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola and Krutrim, has announced that Krutrim will power the LLM services for the Kumbh Sah’AI’yak app, an AI chatbot unveiled today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Designed for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which is taking place from January 13th to February 26th 2025 in Prayagrag, the chatbot aims to enhance the experience of devotees in the city, showcasing a groundbreaking blend of culture and technology.

Announced last month, the Uttar Pradesh government plans to launch the chatbot named ‘Sah’AI’yak’ to assist devotees during Maha Kumbh 2025.

It was earlier revealed that the chatbot which would run on WhatsApp would be powered by the Bhashini and SamagraX, offering information in over 10 languages. Krutrim is now also added to the list.

With features such as Google navigation, interactive conversational capabilities, and personalised GIF responses, the Kumbh Sah’AI’yak chatbot aims to provide a smooth and engaging experience for millions of attendees.

Through both text and voice interactions, it will offer insights into the event’s history and traditions, details about sadhus and akhadas, key bathing ghats, important dates, routes, parking facilities, and accommodation options.

Back in May, Krutrim, the AI unicorn, launched its first LLM, Krutrim-7B-chat, trained on ten Indian languages, on the Databricks Marketplace for free. Krutrim is also launching another AI developer app called Bhashik, a multimodal language hub that can translate videos into different languages.

Krutrim also plans to produce its first AI silicon chip by 2026.
