Digital Convergence Technologies to Invest ₹200 Crore in Madhya Pradesh GCC, Create Jobs & Boost Tech Growth

Digital Convergence Technologies (DCT Inc) has announced an investment of ₹200 crore to set up a global capability centre (GCC) in Madhya Pradesh. This investment is part of the ₹700 crore the company pledged to expand GCC operations during the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025. The overall GCC expansion is expected to create 40,500 new jobs in the state.

The company expressed that the recent announcement of the Madhya Pradesh GCC Policy 2025 has created the right environment for growth.

“The recent announcement of a dedicated GCC policy in Madhya Pradesh has created a strong foundation for companies like ours to provide advanced tech services out of the state. This allows us to harness the existing pool of talented professionals who are native to the state,” Vineet Dhawan, CEO of DCT, said in an exclusive interview with AIM.

Moreover, Dhawan shared the company’s plans to focus on high-tech solutions, data operations, product development, and artificial intelligence (AI) at the new centre. 

However, according to Dhawan, DCT aims to go beyond core IT services. “We believe that the GCCs we build can go above and beyond core IT services and expand to varied and distinct organisational requirements such as human resources, customer experience, research and development, creative services and much more,” Dhawan mentioned.

Dhawan also revealed that DCT is in talks with local academic institutions to set up centres of excellence (CoEs). “We are also in the discussion stages of pitching COEs in partnership with local academic institutions to bridge the skill gap and prepare young individuals for dynamic roles that will soon be commonplace industry-wide,” he stated.

Furthermore, Dhawan said that recruitment for the new centre will initially focus on bringing back skilled professionals from Madhya Pradesh who currently work in other states due to a lack of opportunities at home. The company also plans to partner with educational institutions and develop in-house training programs focused on new-age technologies like AI and data science.

As Dhawan acknowledged, the new GCC in Madhya Pradesh is set to function as a one-stop solution for mid-sized companies looking for enterprise services without investing in building their own capabilities.

With this move, DCT joins other major firms contributing to Madhya Pradesh’s emergence as a key destination for tech growth and job creation in India’s tier-2 cities.
MoUs were signed with global tech giants, including IBM, Barclays, Microsoft, VLSI, and L&T EduTech, to strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s IT and electronics ecosystem. These partnerships aim to drive investment, technological advancements, and skill development in the state.
