The study reveals that over 60% of Indians are open to virtual healthcare, from routine checkups to managing chronic illnesses.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining widespread trust in India’s healthcare sector, with 75% of consumers and 97% of doctors ready to adopt AI-driven solutions, according to the 2025 ZS Future of Health Report released on Thursday.
The report, released by ZS, a global management consulting and technology solutions firm, highlights a major shift towards AI-powered healthcare for tasks like disease prediction, risk assessment, and diagnosis.
The report was based on a worldwide survey of 12,000 consumers and 1,500 doctors, including 2,000 consumers and doctors from India.
The study reveals that over 60% of Indians are open to virtual healthcare, from routine checkups to managing chronic illnesses. AI-powered health apps are also gaining popularity, with 63% of consumers showing interest in using them for awareness, triage, and treatment adherence.
The report suggests collaboration among stakeholders—including hospitals, technology companies, pharma firms, and government bodies—will be crucial for healthcare transformation.
“Pharma companies have a golden opportunity to play a bigger role in the patient journey—from early detection to treatment and long-term care,” the report states.
By adapting global best practices and investing in digital health, India has the potential to build a future-ready, accessible, and patient-centric healthcare system by 2030.
